Pinealon 20mg research vial
Pinealon is a lab-made peptide of just 3 amino acids, Glu-Asp-Arg; one 20mg vial costs 2,700,000 VND ($105 USD). All three Pinealon papers below link to PubMed, and we checked the VND price for this vial on 11 October 2026.
What is Pinealon?
The sequence is also written EDR. Pinealon comes from a family of short peptides made by a research group in St. Petersburg, Russia.
Of its 22 PubMed records, 16 are in Russian journals.
Good to know
Pinealon, Cartalax, Vilon and Epithalon all come out of the same St. Petersburg family of short peptides. On this shelf they sit side by side, and their pages share the same caution: most of the work comes from one group.
Pinealon in one St. Petersburg group's papers
- Cell study, 2011. Nerve cells under stress were grown with Pinealon, and the team measured harmful oxygen molecules and cell death.
- Animal study, 2012. Pregnant rats with high homocysteine, from a diet high in methionine, got Pinealon, and their young were tested for learning.
- Review, 2020. The same group proposed that the peptide enters cells and changes genes tied to nerve cell survival.
Small research, mostly cell and rat studies, and all three papers here come from that one group.
How to read this
Pinealon is a very short peptide with a very small record. Every paper on this page comes from the same research group, and 16 of its 22 PubMed records are in Russian journals. The cell study looks at stressed nerve cells in a dish. The rat study is about the young of mothers fed a special diet, a narrow setup. The review proposes a way it might work; it does not test it.
The Pinealon paper trail
The three papers appeared in Rejuvenation Research in 2011, the International Journal of Clinical and Experimental Medicine in 2012 and Molecules in 2020. All three come from the St. Petersburg Institute of Bioregulation and Gerontology, the group behind most Pinealon work. In the 2012 rat study, the mothers had high homocysteine, a blood marker, from a diet high in methionine, and the team looked at learning in their young. The 2020 review puts forward an idea about how the peptide reaches genes inside cells. An idea in a review is a starting point for testing, not a test result.

Questions about Pinealon
What has research on Pinealon looked at?
Nerve cell stress in the lab and learning in rat pups, all from one research group.
What does EDR stand for?
EDR is the sequence of Pinealon in one-letter codes: glutamic acid, aspartic acid and arginine, written Glu-Asp-Arg in three-letter codes. Papers use both forms, so a search under EDR finds more of its record.
