Epithalon 50mg research vial
Epithalon, also spelled Epitalon, is a lab-made chain of 4 amino acids; the 50mg vial sells for 3,800,000 VND ($150 USD). We checked Epithalon's price on 11 October 2026; the four studies below, including an outside 2025 review, are linked.
What is Epithalon?
It was modelled on an extract of the pineal gland of cattle.
Most of the published work comes from one research group in St. Petersburg: 90 of 143 PubMed records list the same lead author.
Epithalon in cells, mice and monkeys
- Review, 2025. An outside group in Warsaw summed up 25 years of cell and animal work, and said studies of its basic chemistry are few.
- Cell study, 2025. Human cell lines were grown with Epithalon, and the team measured telomeres, the caps on the ends of DNA strands, and the enzyme telomerase.
- Animal study, 2005. Old monkeys got Epithalon, and night-time levels of the sleep hormone melatonin were measured, along with blood sugar.
- Animal study, 2002. Mice bred to get breast tumors were followed for lifespan and tumors, with or without Epithalon.
Many cell and animal papers, but almost no human trials. The only human trial found is a small 2002 study from the same group, in people with an inherited retina disease, and it gives few details.
How to read this
Epithalon has a long paper trail, but most of it comes from one St. Petersburg group, which is why the 2025 review from an outside team in Warsaw matters: it says basic chemistry studies are few. The telomere study used human cells in a dish. The monkey and mouse studies are older animal work. A small human study from the same group exists, but it gives few details.
The Epithalon paper trail
The 2025 review came from an outside group in Warsaw. The 2025 telomere study traced the change to telomerase, the enzyme that builds telomeres. The 2005 monkey study and the 2002 mouse study ran in aging research journals. Our search found one human trial, from 2002, in people with an inherited retina disease. It comes from the same St. Petersburg group as most of the record.

Questions about Epithalon
What has research on Epithalon looked at?
Telomeres in human cells, melatonin in old monkeys and tumors in mice, mostly from one group in St. Petersburg, plus one small human study.
Is Epithalon the same as Epitalon?
Yes. Both spellings name the same 4 amino acid peptide, and PubMed lists papers under each. A search for both names turned up 143 records, and 90 of them list the same lead author from St. Petersburg. The 2025 review from Warsaw is the one outside look among them.
How much of the Epithalon research comes from one group?
Most of it. A PubMed count found 143 records for Epitalon or Epithalon, and 90 of them name V. Khavinson of St. Petersburg among the authors.
