Adamantane is a small, cage-shaped chemical group. Supplier and reference pages describe Adamax as Semax with that group added.
Our searches found no peer-reviewed study of Adamax.

Adamax and the Semax studies behind it
Here is the straight answer: our search found no published research on Adamax. Two PubMed searches, one for the name and one for Semax with adamantane, found nothing. Every Adamax hit was an unrelated computer science method with the same name, and a web check found only supplier and reference pages.
Adamax is built on Semax, so here is what two Semax studies looked at. These are Semax studies, not Adamax studies:
- Semax rat study, 2006. BDNF, a protein that supports nerve cells, was measured in a rat memory area after Semax.
- Semax and Selank brain scans, 2020. Fifty-two adults were scanned to compare Semax, Selank and a placebo.
Do not read the Semax studies above as Adamax studies. No published study of Adamax was found, so research tells us nothing about it yet.
How to read this
Most peptide pages can at least point to animal work. This one cannot. A missing record does not mean anything bad or good about the compound: our searches found no published study of Adamax. The Semax studies on this page show what Semax, the peptide Adamax is built on, was studied for, and Adamax may behave differently once a new chemical group is attached. Until a study of Adamax itself turns up, the honest description stops at what it is made of.
The Adamax paper trail
The two Semax studies here came out in 2006 and 2020, and both used Semax itself. Adamax is said to add a small cage-shaped group to Semax. Our search found no paper that tests what that group changes.
